Sally

They say that once you become a parent, your life will never be the same.  I don't know who "they" are, but I think they're right.  I married my long time love in 2009, and Leighton danced into our world in 2010 (sex ed, anyone?).  We left our Chapel Hill compound, and now live at home in Lenoir while I work as a school counselor and Chris finishes school.  Since Katie decided to join our basement club, I thought it would only make sense to have another baby (I didn't want her to be empty handed, you know!).  Lewis was born in November 2012, and our little family is anxiously awaiting Chris's graduation when we will begin our next adventure.  For now, we are loving every moment with our family in Lenoir!

Ever since I learned to walk, I've been following in Sally's footsteps.  In home videos, if she would twirl, I would twirl.  Growing up we played all the same sports and provided each other with plenty of healthy competition.  When it was time to apply for college, I didn't even look at other schools...Sal was at UNC, and I knew that's where I wanted to be, too.  So, here I am now, I followed her right back to our parents' house where I'm spending this year before I marry the man of my dreams.  Luckily, she's led me on some pretty great adventures - I spent six years at UNC making lifelong friends, having tons of fun, and studying to be an occupational therapist.  I've been so blessed in love and life and can't wait for these next chapters.  Sadly, I know they'll involve physically parting ways with my sister, but we had the foresight to start a blog so that we can continue to share experiences, discuss our many interests, motivate ourselves to turn thoughts into actions, and document lessons learned along the way!
